Doubters of your relationship

How do you deal with doubters of your LDR? I have someone who doubts my relationship & that's my soulmate is in the my state & is someone close that the family knows. I can't made her realize that not every relationship has the luxury of being in close proximity. I'm sorry to burst her bubble but I was always in a long distance relationship it's all I knew, even if I didn't know I was in a long distance relationship at first, long story! lol. Anyways, this is all I ever knew and I'm ok with it. She wants me to have someone who is tangible & can be there at special occasions etc, I don't mind him not being here for special occasions but I'm use to it. I can't explain it, yes, I would love for him to be at special events but I know he's all the way in CA. One year he surprised me for Christmas & stay with me for a while that was special. I get surprises like that & I wouldn't trade that for a close proximity relationship. Our relationship is special & I wouldn't trade it for anything.

At first, I had a few people that doubted my relationship. I honestly don't care. I've always been the person to stand up for what I believe in. I feel happy and secure in my relationship. As long as you do that, what people think doesn't matter. I found the person I want to be with and who makes me happy. I'm excited to close the distance within the next year or so and start the next chapter in our lives! <3
