I am in a new relationship, we met online. I am on one side of the US and he is on the other. I travel there for work about every 3 mths. We recently just met and sparks flew. I am wondering how some couples built trust with there relationship when you start out apart and not being there to see or really know that persons history.

Trust is something you build over time. Just like in a close distance relationship,it's the same in an LDR. Talk to your SO and ask them questions,get to know their history if you don't know already. The more you get to know them and over visits and things you'll eventually build that trust. It's maintaining it that's key
.
