Little things you miss...

I miss so much;
My boyfriends from America & im from London so we say different things - i miss him making fun of the things i say ..
Him holding my hand or rubbing my legs as hes driving ..
Having him open & close the doors from me - never once did it myself lol
Sharing food together ..
Late night conversations in bed .. & him randomly waking up, telling me he loves me, kissing me on my forehead & going back to sleep ..

I miss everything really. For example: I used to place one hand on my SO's thigh while she was driving. I miss doing that. Also when I take my showers. Most of the time we showered together. It makes me sad standing there alone. Also when I go to bed. I miss wrapping one arm around my SO's body.

haha I know! My boyfriend bought a bunch of frozen fish sticks (yuck) and I honestly don't even know what to do with them, I hate fish sticks! And also the everything you see reminds you of them, I drive past his old work every day and every day it never fails that I have to drive past and just look at it. And I will go out with his friends and it's just awkward because I'm not used to hanging out with them without him, ironically they said the same thing that it's weird for them to see me without him. But it really is difficult, especially when you're lives were so entwined before they left.

Yeah, I understand. My gf and I have memories all over this place, my apartment, school, every damn shopping plaza, walmart, movies, everything. I think that's what'll keep me going cause I'll pass the movies and I'll smile and think about this or that or go into the petstore and do the same and I think it'll make me miss her more, appreicate her more, fight less and make me wanna push harder to make it work.

Absolutely. We did have sex in the shower, but most of the time we didn't. We just loved washing each other's back, massaging shampoo into each other's hair - stuff like that. My SO told me that she started crying when she used my shampoo one day because the smell brought back memories, aw...

Awe, Sex is a definite plus to anything but the times I think make me smile the most is the ones where we were just being goofy, like washing dishes together and going to the zoo and learning how to play cards together. Those are the things that I'm going to miss the most, I did everything with her for everything for her. It sounds so corny but I feel so incomplete.

I feel exactly the same about my SO, like one of my favorite memories for me, I made him a joke zombie survival kit for his birthday, inside amongst other things was a pair of socks covered in moustaches and a pair of nunchucks, I felt so happy just watching him jam the socks on his feet and him going round the living room trying to be a ninja turtle... goofy and immature to everyone else, as hes 24, but I laughed so much I cried. I feel happiest making him happy. I miss spending every last second with each other, now I have to sit and wait for him to come home, and I can;t even do nice things like cook him dinner. I miss looking after him =( I don't feel completely here without him here too.

It's so heart wrenching, especially when you spent months/years with your SO and then they just leave. My gf keeps telling me "I'm not leaving you, I'm leaving to make something of myself and go to school. I'm gonna do my best in school, graduate and start a career and family with you" but still, it's so hard.

aaah I'm in the same sort of situation as your girlfriend then- I had to leave to graduate with my degree. My boyfriend had to stay and work, though he offered to move with me- he's set up back there and has his own career too. Its hard trying to think and plan ahead for two, but I know once I graduate, we are both on the same path =) If she's thinking the same way I am, She wants to take care of you and she's got both your futures in mind. I know it's hard, but so long as you've got in mind that this separation is only short term, in the long term, you've got a good and long future together =) thats what I keep telling myself anyway.

Yeah, I want to move with her, but I just got a job after being umemployed for 4 months and just got my own apartment so she doesn't want to uproot me again but I want to but I'd have to rent a room or something from a stranger. and She's not sure if she's going to stay up there for 2-4 years, she said its possible she might not like it and move somewhere else further, etc. So If I move and she ends up moving next fall to somewhere else, it'll be another uprooting for me. She's constantly saying it upsets her that she can't do much to help me and hates how my life has turned out, I have really bad health problems, was abandoned, etc. My roommate is a hooker, literally. So I know she's busting her ass to graduate she took summer classes so she should have her AA a few months early but still, then she's going to get her BA.

A Zombie Survivial kit is SO cute btw. My roommate has the zombie survivial book on the table I'm using right now actually she's obessed with zombies but deathy afraid of them. That's a really cute idea and image of an adult running around in such a get up!!

eeesh that sounds awful I'm sorry =( maybe it's worth waiting a bit longer till you know how long she's going to be staying in one place? I was so worried that my BF was going to get a job in another city whilst I was still in grad school, but we sat down and had a talk about where we see ourselves in a year, 5 years etc, and if all things go to plan for the both of us, it turned out, once I finish up here, our goals sorta match up. Maybe you should have a talk with your gf and ask her if she has any specific plans for school, life etc, and make some compromises? I know your situation is more complicated then a talk can fix, but it might be the start you need to sorting it out you know?

and thank you about the survival kit =) He always used to say "if there is a zombie apocalypse, I'd protect you" so I thought it would be a funny gift =) I had gatorade, torches, bandages and all sorts- it was good because he understood I have little money being a student and all, but it was possibly the best present I could have given him at the time, if I had money or not =)

That's totally cute. I'm broke as a joke too as of right now and I went from getting my gf itouches and dinners at the melting pot to picnics and hand made balloons and she seems to like the from the heart hand made stuff way better.

And yeah it's a really complicated and messed up situtation and she says you know tmw isn't promise but I know that I want to be with you but she's also told me she's putting school before our relationship, which I understand. As of right now I know she wants to finish school and then start our real life. 4 years is a long time to be apart though.

That is tough- 4 years... I know I would do it for my SO, but I'd come up with every solution possible to make it less you know? I'm sorry if you don't want to hear this but she seems to be being very vague with you, and it's not fair keeping you apart on just a promise. I still suggest if you really want to make it work, stay at your job where you have a stable income, and once she's figured out what she's doing and settles, then start thinking about moving closer to her then. There is no point sacrificing what you have got now if there is a big chance she will move again- not with the job market the way it is- I take it you're in America, I know it was bad when I left. I know she must be having a hard time being separated from you too, but the situation really isn't fair on you. it sounds like your the one making most of the sacrifices here- there should be some sort of compromise for both of you to get to. that is only my opinion though, and I don't know what you've been through, or the the situation fully, but that is what I can gather anyway =/

I have a vein that from time to time pokes out on my arm and it was called "Squishy Vein" just because my gf ended up touching it and feeling that it was squishy so every time I see it, it reminds me of her haha. Then there's the things like holding her hand, laying on the beach this summer which of course was the same beach that I spent time with her at when I got to see her last year, and shows that we used to watch together. There's a lot of little things like that but in the end I'm just happy to get to talk to her.
