Trying to transition after being used to living together

One of the hardest things is going on my daily life without him home. I got so used to him walking in the door, giving me a hug and kiss and I'm instantly feeling safe again. At this point it's too late to go back to how things used to be before we lived together, I know too much and have opened myself up to a whole different level of love and support. I have my little girl who is depending on me to stay strong throughout this process. It's all still really new, so I guess I'm going through my grieving moments.

What helped you get through going from one day he is there to the next he is only available VIA technology?

Daily communication, whether it be text, phone or video chat. Keeping each other updated on your lives will make you feel more involved. With my SO, we like to play video games or watch TV shows together. If one of us is going out or not going to be online that night, we let the other know.

Communication is a big factor to making it work.
