Thoughts on a quote?

This came from a psychology report that I had read:

Distance does not make the heart grow fonder, it makes the eyes wander.

What are your thoughts on this? My thoughts are precisely what follows:

"I believe that if the individuals in the relationship are faithful then this quote does not apply. I dislike the philosophy behind this quote." I am more interested in reading what people here will say about it though.

I think it is BS. If you are in a committed relationship, it shouldnt matter the distance. After 2+ years, my eyes have yet to wander, and i see no reason for them to. My So fulfills my needs, even from a distance.
