He never checks his facebook, gets on skype, or emails

No, he doesn't have a phone, he uses skype, and his skype is kinda funky and doesn't always work. For instance, he is on skype right now, I sent him a chat message about 30 minutes ago and it has been pending for the past 30 minutes.

So, I still haven't heard from him, I talked to his roommate a few hours ago, and also his roommate's girlfriend talked to him. When his roommate brought up to Belvy that I was trying to get a hold of him, Belvy told Aaron that he just talked to me recently. I'm not really sure how August 4th is "recently" but I'm getting a little irritated now.

Well, that would annoy me. Since his "recently" line makes it seem like that he's in no hurry to contact you again. He probably doesn't even realize that he should contact you more often. I read stuff like that quite a lot on here. Maybe it's a typical guy thing? I have no idea what you could do though. Maybe send him a letter? Since he doesn't have his cell phone and is not often online. Otherwise you will just have to wait and see what happens.

His behaviour might be an indicator that he is perfectly happy going long periods of time without contacting you and doesn't see anything wrong with it at all. That is something that needs to be adressed as quickly as possible unless you want to keep going with long periods of no contact and then a small conversation, lather rinse repeat. If you don't talk this out with him i am sure that you will end up resenting him as he doesn't try and fill your emotional need for contact even the slightest.

Today, i opened my computer to check my facebook before work, the first thing that happened was my skype chat box popped up and it was him saying hey what's up. of course this is the only day that I worked day turn, and I literally had no time to talk with him. I apologized and told him that I would talk to him later. When I got home my skype chat was still up, I then noticed that yesterday when I asked if he was there and it said pending for almost 2 hours so I gave up, well it showed that he actually did respond and I finally got the messages that he said, today. I'm starting to think that he has actually tried to talk with me, and that skype just doesn't relay the message. Especially since he said that he did talk to me recently. I have a feeling that skype is the actual culprit here!

Maybe try another service, then? I've never had issues with Skype but I know some complain it eats memory and lags, and if one lags it lags for both. Maybe try IMing and allow offline IMs to be sent that way you guys can still leave messages?

Skype may be the culprit. My SO and I were having problems sending messages through 1 particular medium at some point, so we decided that if we didn't get what seemed like a timely response from each other that we'd email, PM, or use facebook.

yay!! I just talked to him on skype, and he's calling me back in a few minutes!
