    I totally agree.
    Although my boyfriend's family only speaks English, so it's pretty easy for me.
    His family does know a bit of French though, and I know quite a bit.
    My family's Chinese so I started teaching my boyfriend some Chinese here and there, as well as about our culture..
    He knows how to greet my family and how to use chopsticks so it's a start!
    He also knows how to tell me that he loves me in Chinese.

      My man learned how to say that he loves me in german and it is just the cutest thing you have ever heard!!
      Other than that.. I don't think he'll ever get much into speaking german, that's fine by me though.

          I bought the Rosetta Stone and made it to the second level but I just hit a block in constructing the grammar and proper sentences. I got busier at work and so for now, It is on hold. My SO really does want me to learn it better, but I think he needs to except I will only ever get so much of it.
