LDR poem I wrote (didn't know where to post this)

For Creative Writing, we had to write a poem about someone we had strong feelings for. I wrote this, and thought I'd share. I'd also love to read some other LDR poems, if anyone has any other ones they'd like to share.

    Late Night Skype Call

    He smiles for no reason
    just staring at my eyes
    I smile because of his
    laugh, even behind the
    screen

    I imagine his soft palm
    wrapping gently around
my face, dreaming of the day
    he’d be laying beside
    me

    We would talk about nothing
    our words float aimlessly
    we didn’t have to engage
    in controversial
    talk

The smell of stale bed sheets
    The feel of cold blankets
    It embraces me like a
    mother, a comforting
    friend

    I don’t cry, even though I
    want to, missing something
    I never had— maybe if
I close my eyes, he will
    feel

    here

that's so sweet! it's got good flow to it. Did you get a good mark????
    I really like
    "We would talk about nothing
    our words float aimlessly
    we didn’t have to engage
    in controversial
talk" whenever i skype with my S.O, we can just talk about anything or even say nothing to each other and still enjoy it :')

I love writing poems! I have a few I wrote about my LDR. and a few about the sad parts in a LDR. Here is the link to them c:

You should totally show your S.O it! Believe me, he'll feel so loved! When my S.O wrote me a poem and a song, I had goosebumps all through my body and still do! He'll love it.
aw yess! we had never met at that time, so I thought it would be nice to send her a gift for her Birthday
Yes, I made a book full of my Poems for a Xmas present last year whenever I write new ones, I write them in the book when I visit her :')

Don't feel shy! you're just showing your love in a creative way and I know he will love it. Good luck, once you show him it you'll start wanting to write more and more haha

I started writing a poem a while back, but progress was extremely slow. Thanks to this thread, I got inspired and decided to write some more on it, and I finished it! Even though I think it's a bit short, I'm happy with it, and my S.O. loved it! :3

Aww that's so sweet, this has to be my favorite part:
            "love travelling thousands of miles,
            desert and woods intertwining."
Really makes the passion in an LDR more visual and relatable to the reader o:

Thank you, I appreciate it! When I wrote the part you said was your favorite, I asked myself if it makes sense, and it seems like it does. ^^
