How often do you see each other?

We met in 2011 online in the beginning of the year and met in person end of July/early August when he came here, then I went over in October and we made it official and then we saw each other right before Christmas. Then I think we had one visit before I went to Senegal when he came here, then we flew back and forth during the summer (luckily we found cheap flights so we visited each other every two weeks or so), and once during the autumn and over Christmas, maybe 5-6 visits in total. This year I spent the summer over there, he came here to visit once before though and we flew back to visit my family in the middle of the summer, and he just left after another visit here. Next time his whole family will come over with him for Christmas if everything goes according to plans to meet my family, so exciting

We try to spend every second visit here and every there as far as possible, since we're lucky enough to be on good terms with the others family as well and they want to see us as well. I have now a flexible job both here and contacts over there, and our families are happy to host us

It took us about three years, before we met in person. Then, after we met in person, we would try to plan our visits for once or twice a year. So far, there have been four visits in total of the six years we've been together. Hopefully, by next year, we will be able to close the distance. I am suppose to be filing for his green card in January. Plus, he is suppose to be visiting in September for my uncle's wedding. If flying from the US to UK and vice versa wasn't so expensive, we would probably see each other more often lol!

It's now a year and a bit since our first meeting and this week will be our sixth meet.
We have only ever managed long weekends though. Hopefully next summer we can do atleast a week or little longer together.
The longest time a part has been nearly four months and the shortest one month.

We met online in March of this year. We met in person in May. We see each other every 2 months. We just had our third visit and we're probably gonna have to wait a little over 2 months this time.
We don't have a set date yet. Not horribly long but we miss each other terribly.

sigh. We didn't meet each other until 7 years after us talking, and since then (two summers ago) We've had four trips to see each other...so not often enough lol.

In the beginning, I lived off campus near to a train station. I also had more spending money. We were able to see each other every 2 weeks and we both alternated.
I don't remember when that stopped, but I know when I moved back home after graduating it turned to once a month with me making all the visits except 1 or 2 a year.
Now I have a car but toll and gas is a lot for me and he's not allowed here so I see him once a month.
However, because of our recent break, the last time I saw him was early September and I won't see him again until early December.
After that visit, I'm not sure what the visiting itinerary will be like.

We met online at the end of 2009, and then met in person July 2011. He stayed with me for 3 months. He went home and got a job and saved up money, and came back 7 months later to live with me for a year in May 2012. May 2013, I flew back to his town with him and met all his family, stayed for 6 weeks. It's been 4 months since we saw each other last, and we'll probably be going another 4 months. It looks like we'll have one or two more spaced out visits before permanently closing the distance.

We are fortunate enough to see each other every 2 weeks or so. Our longest break has been 4 weeks in the summer. I visit him more because I have a way more flexible schedule, but he comes to my place once in a while too. We can see each other so often because the flights between our countries can be really cheap (thank God!) and as neither of us are working at the moment, we have quite flexible schedules.

We always book our next flight well in advance, so we know when we will see each other again.

We've only been in an LDR for about 4 months or so and I've seen him twice. Longest time apart was 10 weeks. Shortest was 6. However, in the years we were together before he left the longest time we'd ever spend apart was maybe 1-2 weeks tops so it's been an extremely difficult transition. The first week after he left was torture. I was so upset it honestly felt like had died or something. I will admit I have had a difficult time adjusting. The last time we saw each other however, he said it was very important that he get to see me and since he can't come visit he would help bring me to him so I'm hoping I won't have to go longer than maybe 6 weeks without seeing him. As hard as even this time period is I am extremely grateful for each and every visit and really respect the people who have to wait longer, or have difficult circumstances that keep them from seeing their SO more often. Hats off to you guys...I admire your strength

We saw each other once in 2009 and once in 2010, and then three visits in 2011 and two in 2012. This year we are going to meet for the fourth time in a week

All our visits are scheduled, because we see each other every time he gets off the ship which he's working at. So there's around 6 weeks between our visits and we have around 4 weeks together each time. So around 40% of the year, which I guess is not so bad.

I'm so very jealous of the people who get to see their SOs every couple weeks or months!
Right now, my SO and I only get to see each other once a year for ~2 weeks.
This year, we've finally managed to work in a second visit, so twice a year for 2 weeksishh each time.
It's hard to work around both our schedules, especially getting time off work and school..

Wow, 15 months apart?? That's quite awhile! I have a lot of respect for you and your SO in making this work
