I've decided to start a make-believe business specifically for people in LDR. For a small fee, you can hire a person as a stand-in in your SO's life so that he/she is free to come visit you. Both genders, most ages, and most professions would be available. It's sad, but I'll be there would be people who would do this...
It's Monday and I feel very spaced out. SO left a couple days ago and I still haven't pulled myself together. We've had 3 visits so far. The time between each visit has gotten progressively shorter. However, handling him leaving has gotten progressively harder. You'd think it'd be easier to watch him leave knowing I don't have that much time before I see him again, but it's not.
...maybe I'll just stick him in a closet after Christmas and keep him there
