Adding to ioanna's post, in formal Arabic it's أحبك "uhibbuk" (uhibbuki when speaking to a woman). You have the possibility to say "Ana" (I) before the verb, or to skip it.

In my own dialect it's نحبك "n'habbek", whether you are addressing a man or a woman. Some parts of the country use نبغيك "nebghik" but it actually means I want you, in a non-sexual way.

Since Swedish was already mentioned here goes my Swedish dialect (though very similar): Ja älska(r) de (depending on how fast you speak you leave the r out, but then again it sounds a little like past tense)

Does it sound like "Jag älskade" = I loved ?

Yea, at least I think so since we usually leave out -de in dialect

Although I must admit to not being able to speak any dialect at all
