Besides cheating and doing it twice the thing that worries me is this:
"I have known since I was about 13. He finally opened up after over 18 years confessed his feelings to me about 4 months ago. So we decided to give Us a shot. I have always liked him and had feelings for him but he has also always been one of my best friends."
He has been one of your best friends since you were 13? For 18 years?
And only a couple months into been romantically involved he cheats on you?
That is seriously twisted. No friend would do that to you. By the sounds of it, he is mixed up and has issues that he would be better sorting out on his own.
I can't begin to imagine how awful this has made you feel.
Been treated like that by someone you have known for so long, trusted and considered a friend.
I have to agree with the majority, I doubt it will get any better if you give him a second chance. It will only make him think that he can toy with you and you keep coming back.
You deserve someone who shows his love to you in actions not words.
