We are getting close to closing the distance. Many of you will remember last year that my SO was offered his dream job, in NY. HE promised me he would be here in a year. He's had an initial interview for a transfer with his company, but we haven't heard anything yet (his interview process for his current position was four months, so it's not strange to not have heard anything yet).
Regardless of that, we are closing the distance. He's rented his house starting the end of January, and he is packing up and moving to Georgia. He will actually commute back and forth. He will fly home on Friday, then back to NY on Sunday evening or Monday morning. During the week he will stay at his moms house. I know this isn't an ideal situation, but the fact that he is willing to do this for me is amazing. Financially, he will actually be better off. The rent covers the mortgage, and he won't have all of the household bills he currently has....plus, Mr Superstar just got an unexpected raise.
I don't want him to leave this company, they are GOOD to him and he is making a name for himself. This is a company to stay with until he retires.....so for now, he will be officially living on Ga....but working in NY. He must really love me to do this for me. . I am SO HAPPY.
