    Creative communication. Suggestions?

    Hey guys!

    A little base info, my SO has an internship in another state and he can only call on Saturdays and text sparingly throughout the week because he has crappy service where he is. I'm looking for creative ways for us to stay in contact since we can't use the traditional long distance communication devices like FaceTime, Skype, even phone calls. It's difficult to get through the week when he can only send a few texts spread throughout the day... So I'm looking for some creative ways to keep in touch that will help me feel closer to him even though our communication is limited.

    One of my friends who is also in a LDR suggested a fun photo challenge game. You take one picture per day then before you go to bed you send it to your SO with the story of how you took the picture, fun facts about what it is, ways it made you think of your SO, etc. I thought it was a super cute idea! So that's definitely one I'm going to try.

    Does anyone else have any suggestions that might work? I'd love any input you guys have!

    Sending letters and cards in the mail. I do, and SO loves receiving them. Especially these days when everything is online, getting something handwritten can be precious.

      I was going to suggest sending pictures, but the challenge is even better! How about your turn it around? You send a picture whenever you feel like it/you see something interesting and the other person has to guess what was so special about it or make up their own story and then you tell them yours
