I just wanted to share with you something that happened this weekend.
My SO is a bar tender and this weekend he was invited to a bachelor party for one of his regular customers. They were planning to start off at the bar he works at, then go to a strip club, then back to the bar. I have no issues about the strip club, I trust my SO completely, but we are meeting in person for the first time in just over a month. The thought of some girl shoving her perfect breasts in his face, then him getting his hopes up that I look like that naked too... Well it was a bit much for me to be honest. I'm 42, In reasonably good shape but I'm no Hooters model, I have body issues like most women do! I am just really worried that I might be a disappointment to him in the flesh, but that wasn't the moan reason I was so worried about the evening. I was just really concerned because my SO had accute liver failure 2 years ago and nearly lost his life. The thought of him doing loads of shots filled me with dread and I hate it when he drinks heavily, but I must add he rarely does that.
I talked to him before he went out and expressed my concerns about the drinking. He assured me he was going to take it easy and not drive, he said he didn't want to go to the strip club because he can't wear his hat lol! He eased my fears completely and I went to bed feeling happy and relaxed. I didn't say anything about my body issues, I think it's best for me to deal with that myself as it's my issue.
Anyway, I woke up in the morning to this text message...
Good morning gorgeous! All going ok here. They all went to the strip club but I stayed here to play pool. I'm heading home soon. I've only had 3 beers and one shot. I will text you once I'm home. I love you!!! Xxxxxxx
I cannot tell you how happy that made me feel. I love this guy so much. He is so special, sometimes I have to really pinch myself that this is real and that this wonderful man feels the same way about me. I really hit the jackpot here. I cannot wait to see him in person! He has an awful lot of brownie points to cash in hahaha!!! He is amazing, I am so lucky to have him in my life.
