When You Knew You Were in Love

i took my girl around town to show her some things, and when we stopped at the church i told her about these birds that live there, a special kind of parrot that flies together but if one dies the other does too. i fell in love with her right after i told her. she apparently too, we had our first kiss only 5 minutes later.

When we said goodbye to each other the first time. We both knew then that we were in love with each other.

Scott and I had been messaging daily for a while, and we even arranged a transatlantic visit- BEFORE either of us gave any outward sign of having feelings for each other!! We both liked each other a lot, but I think we almost made a point of keeping it from showing in our correspondence. So our first face to face meeting started out as "just friends"...

On the second day, disaster struck!
It's a long story, but basically we found ourselves stranded on a mountain at night, no phone signals, in horrid weather and gales, huddled together for warmth while sitting in a bog. My whole body was shivering and I couldn't remember when I'd last felt my toes. We arranged ourselves face to face, arms wrapped around each other and leaning forward on each other's shoulders to maximize body heat.

A lot of people would have panicked. For some people, that would have been the absolute worst moment of their life. But I sat there with my arms around him, keeping an ear out for a rescue chopper, trying to keep the grin off my face lest he think I'd completely cracked, and I realized: SOMEHOW, that was exactly where I wanted to be!!! Lol. And just as I pulled back to tell him how glad I was for his company, my face near his... he leaned in and kissed me. And I KNEW, without a doubt.

For me it was 1-2 weeks after she'd told me that she was falling in love with me. I found myself thinking about her aLL the time during that perios and I just remember having a sort of lightbulb moment when I was in the shower once, I thought "wow, maybe I'm falling in love with this girl too?"

I don't.. think there was a certain time when I realised I was in love with him.. at least I can't think of one. I guess it was just the feeling of not getting enough of him and.. caring about him so much that eventually.. at some point grew so strong.. that it was love and I just knew.

I cant say the moment but standing at the airport getting ready to come back to Colorado I knew then, I was meant to be with him and I loved him! The next week I went on a business trip and told him this distance thing was too hard I couldn't do it and he told me, don't be scared your not the only one who feel in love, I was shocked becasue I didn't say the words but he knew! So we kept at it and in 2 weeks we move in together!

I remember the moment I felt something I had never felt before. It felt so different than what I imagined. We had just spent the afternoon together and we went outside to walk to my car so I could leave. It was a little late and it was a nice night out, we walked her dog for a few minutes and finally had to say goodnight. We just stood close, my arms around her, and I just stared at her. This girl that meant so much to me, and I felt this deep happiness, comfort and security in her. I said "I think I'm falling for you." I never expected this to happen to us, it just sort of happened, naturally between us and our chemistry. At the time I still didn't know if it was truly love, but I have been convinced completely since then.
