Welcome to real life. Very rarely are things quick and easy. It's going to require getting a job, working and saving.
Have you gotten your passport? Looked at actual flight prices? Confirmed where you will be staying? Will you need to book a hotel? Can you at your age? Are your parents going to just let you take off to a foreign country by yourself?
Slow down. Plan it out. Be responsible. To those who dream, nothing is ever far away.
Distance is to love as wind is to fire. It blows out the little ones and fans the big ones.

Like R&R said, you really need to come with a plan and slow down. Do you have a job at all? Do you have a bank account? Does your bank account (if you have one) let you make automatic repeating transfers?
If you really wanted to save up a grand within a month, you need to at least start saving $250 a week. I've been saving about $125 a week since December and I have almost $1,000 saved already. You'd really need to have a job that pays you well enough to be able to do so. I could save more a week, but I choose not to so I don't feel strapped in my checking account each week. I make $500/wk.
And if you don't already have a job, you're not going to magically save up a grand within a month without one. So stop putting it off and get on your butt and move. Also, if and when you do get a job, it's not a good idea to take off after only working for a month for a visit. Otherwise, they'd probably let you go because they need a reliable person who's going to be working for a few months without taking days off. That's how it works.
You also need to figure out how much everything about the visit will cost and go from there. Transportation, hotels, food, emergency money, spending money, passport fees...etc. How much do you already have saved up, if at all? I guarantee it might cost more than a grand.Last edited by whatruckus; January 21, 2016, 06:11 PM.

When I was your age and in a LDR, I saved all my birthday and Christmas money, did odd jobs for my relatives, and sold some of my stuff. I stopped going out with friends to eat/shopping. I also come from a culture where it is not normal for teens to work while they're in school, so it was hard. It took me around a year to save up.
R&R made wonderful points. Look on Craigslist to see if people need help with odd jobs. They may not pay a whole lot but it all adds up. I used to be a member of a local buy/sell/trade group and sometimes people would advertise needing help to load or unload a truck for moving, with some monetary compensation. Do you have any skills you could turn to money? So, here you are
too foreign for home
too foreign for here.
Never enough for both.

Get a job and save... It took me 4 months of working, not going out or doing anything to pay for our Summer trip. I used my Christmas bonus and 2 weeks wages to pay for my first trip which only cost me £400. I did everything on a budget and got a bus from New York to Kentucky which took 24 hours after 3 flights because that was cheaper too. Check out skyscanner see if you can find it cheaper on there and save.. thats all the advice I have. Also be prepared that with out your parents permission you may have to wait until your 18.
