    post visit sadness

Last night I got home from a 4 day visit with my boyfriend. I went out there because Saturday was our one year anniversary.

In the beginning of our relationship, I was really big on making countdowns to help with the time apart, but the last few times I have found that there is honestly NOTHING that can make being apart easier. When we separate I struggle big time... I don't have a whole lot of friends here, and I work 2 jobs so I am fairly busy. So typically I just stay in bed and cry the first few days.

Do you have any tricks to help get through that initial sadness?

We will be closing the distance in about 5 months. I am going to go out there in March (as long as I can get off work without pissing off my boss too bad) and then again over Memorial Day Weekend. He will come out here for summer at the end of June and stay for the duration of the summer. In August is when the big move will happen. Not sure where yet, it depends on where he ends up getting a job. He is going to try to get a job here (his son lives here) but if not I am moving out there. So knowing that there is an end in sight is nice and knowing we only have to do the visit thing 2 more times is comforting in a way... but right now I struggle and I don't know what to do. I am so over this stupid distance and tired of waiting for our forever to begin. I want it to begin now.

Not to sound weird, but you are going to be CD in 5 months. You have a date. Concentrate on that and not feeling so down. We all go through that, but a lot of us don't have dates or visits planned so close.
Give yourself a day to be sad, then get up and start planning. You need to figure out your steps in moving. What to take, when to ship, etc.. You should be more excited about only 2 more visits and closing the distances!!
