Taking the step to get more intimate..

So here's the deal, I am a very shy person when not hiding behind a chat icon, and I dont know how to talk to my SO about getting more intimate. I am a lot more of an actions person than a words person so doing this would be a lot easier in person.

But basically, I only see my SO maybe once or twice a year, with barely enough time to innitiate anything without it seeming forced, and all we have ever been is that cute lovey-dovey couple that sends each other hearts and cards and reasons we love each other, never anything beyond. How do I talk to him about getting that intimate?? I'm mostly just too awkward to be able to do this. Any advice?

There's only one piece of advice I can give: just be yourself, and broach the subject. Direct a conversation that way if you both start to get flirty/lovey-dovey with each other. If you don't ask you'll never know.

I agree, best to try and direct the conversation in that way. If you're hoping for an example, it could be you two are talking about how much you love each other and then you could start talking about how special he is to you and there are certain things you'd like to do only with him as he is so special. From that you can lead on to talk about what those things are. I hope it serves as a decent example.

Also, to reassure you, you're probably both wanting to talk about it but frustrated as you both feel unable to start the talk.
