so i was listening to the song "with you" by jessica simpson (suppper old i know) haha.. but i was really listening to the lyrics, and made me realize how true it is with eric

he makes me feel more beautiful than anyone else has ever made me feel
he's told me that he thinks i look gorgeous when i just wake up with my hair up, sweats on.. which i certainly don't think i do!

but he makes me feel amazing, and i never feel like i have to impress him because he loves me for me

I know what you mean Never in my life have I been comfortable enough to not wear makeup in front of someone besides my best friend and family. And every time he sees me without makeup, he goes "Wow, you're beautiful." It's an amazing feeling

and with my SO now I feel beautiful and just perfect for the first time, even now that I have gained some weight

Yep, I know excatly how you feel. I was even married and never felt beautiful. Mark loves me for who I am, and thinks I am beautiful no matter what. Before we even really discussed this, it was Christmas time last year and I was taking pictures to show him. I had one of me opening a present and I had a silly little scarf that one of my kids got me, and i was being super cheesy..hair up, early early morning cause it was christmas! no make up nothing..and So i sent the pictures to him, and he told me that his favorite picture was the one of me looking so sleepy..and how he thought I was so beautiful in that picture.

I had a hard time believing this from him. But now I know, and I believe i am beautiful. Like he makes me believe it in myself also. i LOVE that!!

I think I've been just radiating happiness especially the past few days. I've been so in love. I've never ever experienced a feeling as wonderful as this. Whenever I've seen a couple walking together on the street or hugging each other I just get this wide smile. Because I know I can do the same thing with my loved one in a few weeks. <3

Aww That's sweet! I know exactly how you feel.

David is a man who has a difficult time expressing verbally his emotions on romantic things, but often his eyes and expressions speak much louder then words. So I don't get a "you're beautiful!" every time I see him. But I do get to hear him say I'm the cutest, and how much he respects me and thinks so highly of me. He also says that I build him up in so many ways, and when he's dealing with darkness in his life, he says "you have lit many candles around me". Agh, love that kid

I never wear make-up. But my SO always tells me how beautiful I am and how much she loves my skin. She also keeps telling me that it looks like I'm wearing eye make-up anyway, even though I'm not. She loves my eyes.

While I can't stand that song, I know what you mean. For me, it was especially difficult because I didn't really grow into my looks until I was about 19 or 20, so I got to deal with the whole "wow Squiddie is uuuuuglyyyy" thing in high school. Teenagers are so kind (not). I never wore make up or really messed with my hair, and got frustrated hearing the whole "you could be sooooo pretty if you did X, Y, and Z" all the time.

So it still blows my mind now, at 22, when Penn's like "hey pretty girl" or something similar. Like, "are you talking to me? oh, cool". Haha. And that is still with my make-up free face and un-futzed hair.

Same here with Andy... I didn't consider myself beautiful cause none of my ex-boyfriends had ever said I was (which Andy found amazing lol) but he says it everyday and always when I'm not expecting it at all and I love it
