Bittersweet After long visit

It's been an amazing long crazy 6 days with my love filled with lots of pics & heart to heart conversations. It's bittersweet that i'm here in Texas tonight, after waking up this morning with him by my side. This is the longest we have ever spent together and readjusting to life here without him..it's just tough🙁. I'm grateful to have had the time with him, it's going to be hard counting down again til some time in June or July. I know this is worth it though, we still are in the process of figuring out a plan on how, when, etc on closing the distance.

Anyone else feel like something is missing after an extended visit?

Definitely. It just feels wrong leaving them at the airport, or going thru the gates alone. Last time I did it it felt so wrong I almost got sick, when every small fibre of my body was just screaming at me to turn around and never let him go

But it gets better.... it takes some time, but you readjust to being alone and living off skype calls
