    Distance is almost over!

    Hey everyone!

I haven't been on for awhile because I've been with my SO. Things have been going really well, so I decided it was time for an update.

My SO and I are finally going to start the Partner Visa within the next few months. We would do it now, but money is kind of tight. The visa itself is so expensive, and on top of that, we are going to have an immigration's lawyer to help us; their fees are kind of pricey too. We've been planning and planning on how to overcome this issue though. Thankfully, my family has offered to help out a little as they have decided it will be a little early wedding gift.

Right now, we are living with my SO's family. We were stressing on us having to get our own place, but not being financially stable. His parents told us we are more than welcome to live with them for the next year or so while we get on our feet and I'm able to get a job. I'm not able to work over here, so we're relying on one salary. My SO will be going for a manager position at his work, so that will be good for us.

Since I'm unable to get a job (my visa doesn't allow it) I clean the house and tidy up when everyone is away. His parent's work 7 days a week because they own their own business (an awesome gaming store), so if I stay home, I wake up, do dishes, do the laundry, and tidy up the rest of the house. I kind of feel bad that I'm not able to contribute more though. There are 6 people in the house, including me. We live with his parent's and his two younger brothers. But I'm so grateful that they have offered up their home to us for about a year so that we're able to get on our feet.

All-in-all, things are great! We've made things work and very soon I will be here more permanently. My SO is working his butt off at work and getting more shifts. If everything goes according to plan (and of course I have backup plans), then we will be applying for the visa and closing the distance at the end of August! I am looking forward to being able to be here permanently and get a job.

I'll keep everyone updated with how things are going and what's going on!
