I have a talked to a few people who are in same-sex relationships with their SO in another country. It's nice to talk to others who are in your same sitauation. It seems like we have more issues to worry about...one of them being not being able to marry your same sex partner so they can live with you. Just wondering if there are more of us out there?

no it didnt were still gonna do that but were gonna have to do the back and forth thing for awhile(she visits me for 6 months then i visit her for 6 months and so on) until we figured out a way to get her to the US forever, we'll think of something im already in contact with a lawyer with specializes in this stuff so when he calls i'll ask him what we can do

just be careful with that....i've read several stories of people who did that and immigration eventually told them they couldn't anymore. I think I might start calling around to lawyers who specialize in that stuff to see what we can do too. I wish they would pass that Uniting Families Act thing that way I could just sponsor her and be done with it. Ughhh make me so frustrated!it's not a dream anymore, it's worth fighting for

Hey!
See with us..well if my SO tries to move here it will take a lot of time due to visas and etc etc etc, however my dad is English so I can apply for a British passport which means I can live in several european countries for as long as I like. So I can move to Germany without any hassle of visas and such. But I don't speak German xD. Trying though! And my SO doesn't really want to live in Germany when she is older anyway, so we were thinking maybe England. I have always wanted to live in England, and now may be my chance to actually have a reason to get to that side of the world! But then my SO also loves New Zealand. But it is just so far away from her mother, and they are like best friends. So we don't really know what we will do! But it's kind of out of the UK and NZ really...where we will be together. Hmm. So difficult though!

I live in Denmark and my SO lives in USA. There is a law in scandanavian that says that a scandanavian citizen has free mobility between those lands so i can travel to Sweden, Norway, Germany and whatever else nearby. That same law also makes it possible for me to take my SO with me to Sweden and by default she'll become a scandanavien citizen after a set amount of time and luckily they acknowledge gay marriage. Of course i haven't read everything completely through just yet but that is the gist of it.
