The first night I met my SO (we had been dating online for a while before then, but it would be our first time meeting in person), he got in late to the airport and was tired from traveling, so we did nothing but sit, talk, drink wine, and fall asleep. But it was nice and just what we needed.

So I guess our real first "date" was at the zoo the next morning, then dinner later that evening!

We went to the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford and spent the whole day there! It was awesome!! We ate at their cafeteria and my husband arranged that we were able to play in the little water area that usually is only open to children ♥

He picked me up at the airport and we went to dinner at a local steakhouse, Logan's. When we got married in November, we went to Logan's for our dinner for sentimental reasons.

We met up in NYC. I'd flown in a couple of days early for a work thing and he took the opportunity to get the train up from VA to meet me there. We'd talked a lot about sex etc before meeting up and all the things we wanted to do to each other but my SO being the Southern gentleman insisted he had to take me on at least one proper date first. So as soon as he got to the city we found the first food place we saw and ended up at a Panera bread, I don't think I've ever eaten a sandwich as quickly! The food was awful (back at the hotel was much better ) and now we joke about it as people talk about going back to their first restaurant for anniversaries etc

At his mom's house while she was at work so we could have a jolly romp, and then we went out for lunch and drove around a bit while talking. Second date was a bit more romantic. We had a picnic in a park along the river, and I made all the food and supplied all the things to have a nice picnic. We sat under a tree and ate and chatted. We ended up cutting the picnic short when several wasps decided my cooking seemed interesting. After that, we just walked around the park for a bit, and then drove around some more and chatted.

The day I arrived. We went to a fast-food restaurant for dinner and talked. Not extravagant, being with her is more important besides. I paid for it and brought it to the table. I didn't want to 'go dutch'. Earlier in the day, when I went to the grocery store. While buying my food for the week, I bought her a bouquet of red roses. We had agreed earlier on the place to eat.

We went to movies to see Hunger Games. One of my roomates was teasing me for going on a date and I kept saying it's not a date. We are just hanging out. After I came home she asked how was it and I said there were date like features involved. He thought it was a date and I didn't. Two days later we went on an actual date (in my opinion). Had dinner in the asian restaurant and had a few drinks down at the pub. When the pub closed we walked home (we were neighbors) and saw from the window that one of my roomates was drinking alone in the kitchen while playing with her iPad. We joined her and destroyed a bottle of vodka. After the nightclubs closed one of our neighbours saw us in the kitchen and joined us with her bottle of brandy. So four of us got super drunk. Then he spend the night in my room and in the Morning my roomate was really confused since she thought that he had gone home for the night and woken up Super early to join us for breakfast

Our first date was technically ice skating i think, which was great fun because she'd never been before and was terrified of it haha. It was like my second day there and i remember being quite impressed that she was actually skating around on her own by the end of the session. That was also the day i got really weirded out by how friendly Americans are and was always really concerned every time my SO would just randomly skate up to people and start talking to them lol

My flight got into Seattle at around 5pm and I'd been travelling for almost 24 hours by that time, so I was ravenous by that point! We checked into our hotel, and then went out to a little sushi place in downtown Seattle. I don't remember much about it because I still couldn't quite believe we were actually together finally! Afterwards, we went to Henry's Tavern so we could drink and talk. He was impressed with me for having one of the local craft breweries stouts for our first shared drink together . That's now 'our' beer.

Our first meeting was at the airport after 6h of delayed flight. We were supposed to go to a romantic restaurant but I had to cancel the reservation due to his flight. I tried to find a restaurant during 40 minutes after and we ended up in the least romantic one ahah. We had a proper date the day after, in a restaurant we found while walking in the streets to visit the city in which we were. It was very nice.

I don't know! We must have gone for coffee or something, I guess, but I don't remember the first place we went. I landed, we stayed at his place for 5 days before heading up to Lapland, which was such an exciting whirlwind in itself, I wasn't considering the other things we did first as dates.
