    Miss Aussie

    Hey everyone
I'm from South Africa and miss Aussie stumbles into my life and I discover she's everything I've ever wanted. We met online by pure accident.I've been single since 2006 when I lost my then gf to a drunk driver on our way to the car from a dinner.I didnt want to get close to anyone in fear of losing them again. Then this beautiful Aussie soul breaks down every single brick in the wall I've built.Being an affectionate and physical guy,its been really hard to deal with the distance between us,at times its gotten to me in a big way.I've spoken to her about it all and so scared it'll end up pushing her away,as I get quite emotional about it.I'm hoping for sort of advice from anyone who's been through this? How do I deal with it without pushing her away?
Everyday is a battle,I dont know how people do this for so long.
    Am I abnormal?Overthinking it?
    Please help!

My condolences regarding your former girlfriend ❤

And gosh no, you're not abnormal! We're all in more or less the same situation here, so we totally get it.

Once you know you have a serious relationship on your hands, it can be helpful to set some sort of goal to meet, then maybe start making plans & set up some sort of timeframe for when the distance will be closed. That way you'll have something to look forward to.

Do you feel like you're pushing your gf away? Has she said anything to make you think that? If not, I wouldn't worry.

To get yourself through, keep socialising, stick with your hobbies, do your best at work & just try to remember that you still have a life to live. I know it's easy to mope around, checking your phone every 5 minutes!

Oh and I'm also an Aussie, and find the term 'Miss Aussie' so endearing & sweet!

    Best wishes!
