Hi guys, so me and my partner who have been dating since 2015 want to finally meet up but we also want to get married and live together in the UK as soon as possible, I have been in contact with an immigration law firm in the UK called the Immigration Advice services so that we can speed things up and get the professional information and advice we need. I was wondering if anyone has used immigration services and/or if you have any advice on this?

Do you plan to get married during the visit? I'd advise against it, getting married with someone you haven't met or seriously planning it until you have met is never a good idea.

I plan to use an immigration law firm for when we close the distance in hopefully about 2 years time. The law firms have the experience and so may think of the things we have forgotten and will be able to tell us what to do. There also some free blogs that are possible to use for advice, and the governtment pages.

As the previous poster said, it is not adviced to marry on the first visit. I will personally reccomend that each of you have had at least one visit to each other's country (and have met family and friends) before you decide to get married, and for sure have had a visit to the country you plan to immigrate to. Otherwise it may look like marriage or immigration fraud.

Another issue is, if the reference person (the person living in the country you plan to have the immigration to) have their own place to live as well as a steady full time job so that the financial requirements are met. Because if not enough money are made, you will not be allowed to have the immigration. So you risk that you can get married, but still cant live together if you cant meet the requirements.

I assume that a law firm can help you with all of this, but I reccomend to read a few stories to get some personal advice as well.

I completely agree and know this, I was actually wondering if we met a couple of times throughout now and the next year if it would be enough evidence to provide?

You're right, and yes i'm aware of the requirements, we're hopefully wanting to build up our evidence file and requirements of the next year so by 2019 we can apply to live together and hopefully get married.
