Okay, so me and my boyfriend don't live that close to each other, I live in England and he lives in America, I'm 16 and he's 17. And we are wanting too meet next year, and when we meet we will have been dating for nearly a year, however I would have to go him, because his parents won't let him come to England. However I'm worried about what my dad might think, I'll be 17 when I go over, but how do I convince my dad to let me go, obviously letting my bf talk too my dad and stuff, but I'm really nervous and worried that my dad will say no, and it will be another 2 years before we get too meet each other, so advice please?

Is there any way your dad can go too, as long as he isn’t ALWAYS there? It’s not ideal but you being so young it may not be the worst idea.
I think I would have the same worries as your dad, it’s just out of his love to you. -

It's part of a Dad's job to worry about their kids, or any parent really. The only thing that I can suggest is to literally just talk to him. I know it's natural to be worried about how he may react, but try not to worry until you actually know what his response is. So talk to him, explain the situation, maybe get your boyfriend to talk to him as well as you've mentioned, and see how it goes.Comment

Yea maybe you should let your dad get a bit nosy and maybe Skype with him, add him on social media so he gets to see HIS life.
Also sit your dad down and just answer all his questions if he has any, help him come up with worst case scenario issues if he has any, and how to solve them or act accordingly. Like if your bf turns out to be a crazy person, you’ve enough money to stay at a hotel etc..Comment
