As you know we had a visit planned for the weekend of October 10th..(when we were suppose to get married...but then had to postpone)..and last week he told me he couldn't visit as he doesn't have the money... hmmm which to me sounds fishy...and he is known for surprises..haha

Sooo..I have decided the kids and I are going there. I will have to tell him though...to make sure he isn't surprising me...but it has been 7 weeks...and we have only ever went a month...I need to see him..I want to be together...this last month has been sooo stressful...and this week he is working killer manager hours...so our talks are quick...till Thursday...

Not sure when I will tell him...Maybe today at 4 when I call him to wake him up for work...

Let's just hope financially i can make this swing....

Now mind you...its a 7 hour van ride with three kids...but you know what?! i get to be with him in the end. i figure we leave Thursday.. or Friday morning...and come back Monday afternoon...a couple of days with him...

This is where you load up on batteries for anything handheld, books, etc so they wear themselves out instead of racing around the car. Good luck, though. You've been through so much, you deserve that bit of happiness!

I agree on the batteries. If your kids all like the same book, getting a nice long book on tape (do they even make cassette tapes anymore? I need to get with the times) like Harry Potter or something and coloring books did wonders when we traveled as well.
