    Long distance struggles

    Hello there,

Feeling down about being in a long distance relationship and needing some help.

My boyfriend and I started the first few months of our relationship as long distance, but after the summer he moved back to the city I was in, for school. We then had 8 months to spend together, which was great! Until he had to go back for the summer, another 4 months of long distance. We didn’t get to see each other much as we are both busy with work, and I really struggled not having him here. However, I knew he was coming back in September to live with me for 4 months, so this made it easier to get through. It is now the New year, he has moved back home (no longer living with me) and he is going to be travelling for 1 month. The rest of our long distance depends on a few variables that we are still waiting to find out, we could be doing long distance for another 4 years and I really don’t want to.
I’m now living alone, and trying to get back into my routine.. It has only been a couple of days and I am really struggling. I find myself crying all of the time and I have no motivation to do anything.

I apologize for rambling on. Does anyone have any advice to help get through?

    Xx

Hey Jenna! Just want you to know you’re not alone! I completely understand and it sucks so bad trying to get back into the lonely routine once you’ve spent so much time together. I’m in the navy and I recently got stationed in Nevada and my boyfriend is in Pennsylvania. So we just spent 8 days together and now I’m back here it is so lonely and makes me sad. I go through a million different emotions just on the plane ride. But I think if we focus on staying busy and working on bettering ourselves then hopefully these years I will fly by.
