I think it is great you are trying to work through it with him. I'd persevere in trying to get him to address this. He does need to consider your feelings when he speaks and not 'blow you off' when you call him on his comments. If not, it just becomes a bad habit for him where he can say whatever he likes, hurting your feelings and if you have a problem with it just tells you to get over it. I really wish this goes well for you. Take care.

Yay! I'm so glad to hear it's being worked out for you guys a bit better now Like you say, people just deal with problems and arguements differently, in his case he tries to get away from it asap, but you need to talk it out and get a little bit of closure (trust me, me and my dude are the exact same way xD ) so it's difficult when it comes time to meet eye to eye on it. But I'm really happy he's listened to you and how it makes you feel when he does that and I hope it continues to get better for you.
