I believe the entire world has been a bit rainy here and there lately. It was gray, wet and cold one morning here in Missouri, and for my SO it was the same in Japan. I noticed that both of us were in one of those "*sigh*, Can I just stare at you for awhile?" moods. I think it makes you contemplative. The steady rhythm of rain is a lot like hypnosis, and it brings back memories very clearly.
