Conversation starters??

I'm sure we have all been there. We talk to much every day that sometimes you run out of things to ask or talk about. I'm sure there are things that I don't know about my SO, but I can't think of anything to ask. So what do you do when you feel you have ran out of things to talk about? I'm the kind of person that can just sit there with my SO and not say a word and be okay with that...just knowing she is there is enough for me. But it bothers my SO if I don't talk much...she likes attention. Do you guys know of any conversation starters? It's impossible to know everything about someone, so there has to be something I don't know lol.

I have three books I bought at Barnes and Noble...these are specifically for convo starters..he and I have went through them...some questions I skipped..haha...but it was a nice way to ask questions I was dying to ask...and yet didn't becuase I was shy...yet it was in the book so I had an excuse...hehe!

Talk about stuff you learned that day, whether is was from school or a TV show or whatever! Weird/interesting facts ALWAYS start a good convo.

haha no you aren't weird, that sounds exactly like something we would talk about haha. if you only knew some of the random conversations my SO and I have had.

My best friend has always suggested the starter of 'Tell me something I don't know about you.' It takes a little thought but usually ends up quite interesting! I also have a habit of asking about events from childhood, like holidays or certain events like losing a tooth and whatnot

Now, this depends on how comfortable you are with each other. Obviously the distance can create some awkward times, but still. Try asking her for ideas. Like "hey, I'm thinking about cooking dinner but I don't know what to make. Any ideas?" Or talk about your future with her. If there's anything I know, girls LOVE talking about that sort of thing. Also you could talk about what you will do when you finally conquer the distance! My SO and I often talk about what we wish we could do if we were together right then. Hope these help!

Well it barely happens but if so I start fullin around lol Either roll on my bed or do stupid faces or just randomly start tellin a story that has happend to me that day or just meep at him for like forever lol
Mostly I do silly/******ed stuff x) Never anythin intelligent haha
Ok sometimes I do ask him somethin serious but yea haha doesn't happen too often

Ah yes, this is a good one. There's a fair bit of material out there online but it tends to repeat itself rather quickly and I'm assuming you've probably reached that point...

Gurl compiled a big list of questions a while back but I can't remember if it was on this forum or the old forum though... Gurl? Do you still have them? I hope she sees this...

I downloaded them myself but I'm in Finland for another 2 weeks and they're on my PC at home

I did a search for sample questions from the book of questions and found a nice little list. My SO & I went through several of them but tried to guess each others answers first to see how off base we actually were (or weren't sometimes!)...What would normally have been a 30 minute conversation turned into 2 hours of just talking.

I have a very weird, imaginative girl at times
So when things are quiet on the phone with my bf or nothing is being said when we are chatting on AIM
I just start randomly asking "What if" questions, and that usually leads to multiple discussions after that

I got this yesterday...it has alot of good questions that I would even think to ask. this will definitely come in handy
