    Looking for activities over distance

    Hi all,

I am looking for things to do for me and my bf over distance.
Since talking isnt his favorite chatting gets a bit bored.
I suggested to play a game together on our phone, he was willing to do that but since we use different supportsystems we cant find a game we can both download, but Ill keep searching for that.

I will ask him if we can do a date night together next week, so we both prep a meal and eat together while we talk on videocall.
I am making short movies of my life here since he hasnt been able to visit me, so we can feel a little bit more connected.

But I dont know what I/we can do more.
I know the list of activities but we cant watch a movie together since he doesnt have Netflix or a laptop to watch it on.
He doesnt have a mailadres so I cant send him e-cards and stuff.
And because of the coronavirus break out they are in a strict lockdown so they dont receive mail at the moment cause I used to send letters in the mail before but he still didnt get the last one I send.

So my question is; what do you guys do with your so/bf/gf while being on distance?
    I needs some inspiration 😁

    Thank you in advance

    Hello!
Me and my bf are using Kast, which is an app that we use to watch youtube or movies together. Basically you enter on his computer or he in yours. There are also people that share movies and TV series and you all can watch together. This app is made for watching movies together from distance.
We also play youtube games "guess the song", play sims together Haha, bake - it is so funny and amazing.

The list of games you can play together is nearly endless, though finding a good one is hard. If you have a computer there are more options... a few days ago EpicGames gave away GTAV and it can be used to have "real-life-like" dates in "virtual Los Angeles" (as long as you don't mind being shot by someone xD). Minecraft is a great option if you have more creativity.... you two can get your own server and build your own house.

Besides chatting you can try to communicate with him through long letters (better if romantic :P ) and wait for a reply. You can use the traditional postmail system or email. Personally I would only use the postmail system to also send a few local goods.

And exchanging photos and videos of your daily life is always great.

        Within a chat
Why am I always trying the impossible?

We send each other pictures from old photo albums of our youth up to current time, and tell the stories that go with it. A great way to get to know each other better.

DirkJanV, yes we have shared old photos and told the stories that go along with them. It's a really fun way to get to know each other better, and relive those moments again.

If he is ever able to have a laptop, there's this videogame called Don't Starve Together and it's really cool to play with your SO.
Basically you have to team up to survive monsters, hunger and keep your sanity up. You can build a little camp, grow food to eat, build weapons to defend yourself... this with a videocall... It's really nice!

What i did too was to play Monopoly with him (or any other boardgame - you would just have to both have the same one), so basically i'd have my game and he would use his and we would play like this (we did it with his younger sister as well as mines, and it was a really nice way to try to communicate with each other's families).

Chatting is nice and important but yeah sometimes you need to do something else to keep the fun. Me and my gf played a long Truth or Dare game that lasted several months (she eventually started running out of questions sort of, lol). We share photos as often as we can in addition to video chats, once in a while you can and should "spice things up" depending on what each person likes. If surprising him or each other with little but meaningful gifts is possible do that once in a while. If you both cook or can cook, like once in a month u can each choose something for the other person to cook (& eat obvsly😊) and share pics (and a video) when finished, if you want u can each record the process and share the videos later. We tried watching movies together but her internet ain't that good so we sometimes watch cool or fun or helpful videos on YouTube (at the same time) and then just chat about them afterwards. You can each choose what the other person should wear (to work, Church, etc) once or twice a month. Okay I'ma end here. There's lot of things, it's all about making the relationship fun and enjoyable such that the distance doesn't make everything feel miserable, bored and lonely. But yeah, distance really sucks! 😔☹️
