1) The biggest problem is not sharing small events that happen throughout your day, and having unrealistic expectations about each other. If you don't have a routine, it's gonna cause some issues, so it's important to set up some guidelines and have some healthy communication with each other when starting the relationship. You might think because you don't see each other in person as often, or at all, all of the time you spend together has to be unforgettable or you can't have fights, and this is such an unfair expectation. Make sure you understand that you shouldn't put too much pressure on your relationship.
2) There can also be unequal effort. If you feel as though you are putting in all the effort, that will make you feel bad, as well as can make your partner feel guilty.
3) Try to be as flexible and committed as possible. Make sure you are listening effectively to your partner. Make sure you are communicating and it is in a healthy way.
