Yes it does.
My SO had an operation recently but at least I was able to text and it was a quick recovery. It's still hard being so far away and being unable to give the support you'd want to. And your situation is so much harder OhioJim, I really feel for you. Just hang in there and remember, in a couple of months this will have passed and soon (relatively) you will be able to look back together on this time and feel proud of your selves to have made it through.

I did hear from her again this morning (Saturday morning here in Ohio, Saturday evening for her).

She is doing better, but is still not out of the woods yet.

Of course, she did not have to tell me how she was feeling. We have such a good connection that I can tell she is better just by the way she talks (by text I mean)!
