I am tempted to try different sites but the more I read about it, people are saying you'd be scam a lot. Not just that profiles are fake but because their pictures are actually not them. I am hoping you can let me know which sites you're using now and how do you know they're fake or scamming you.

One thing you can do with the pictures is a Google Image Search. If it is a stolen picture it will show up elsewhere on the internet.

And ask them to sent you a picture of them holding their passport (with picture visible), or other photo ID.

And be critical of everything they say. At least until they prove themselves trustworthy.
