I agree with Darth, North American schools are very strict. At our prom for example, the tickets were almost a hundred dollars for starters and we had to buy tickets and show Id and get approved weeks in advance. You can't travel internationally as a minor without parents. Ditching your parents and running away to Canada might cause serious problems upon your return and for her parents.

wow, i never said anything about going behind my parents back, or ditching them. i dont know what gave you that idea o.o
about the travel and stuff though, itd be just the same as if i was going over there anyway, planning to book in advance and everything. her prom isnt till next june, so ive got plenty of time to get it all organised. as for telling her, if i organise it with her friend it wouldnt make any differance than iff i were to organise it with my SO, itll be the same process, just through a differant person.
