30+ SO lost his job, what should I do

The instinct tells me to get my ass on a plane and come over to him (I could aford that)

He's devastated e worked there for a long time. He lives with his dad and they fought.

I don't know if I can help by coming over because all i have to offer is physical comfort and motivation.

He should take a break I think but his dad won't let him.

I agree with SJ22. If you can go see him and he wants you to go, then why not? It'll probably make him feel better. ))

If you go, your being there might provide a buffer between him and dad..
In effect giving him a break in the almost constant pressure.. Just remember
not to be too upset if tempers are a bit short.. Probably won't be directly aimed at you..

I think you were right saying that I only needed confirmation.

The situation changed though.

He might be the one to come over for a month of stress relief because it would be longer than me just coming over for a week.

And way cheaper for him because he will pay for a month here+travel the same he would pay for me being there for a week without the travel.

As you can expect I am very excited by the idea.
