Ha! Me either! I'd sworn off men when I left an abusive marriage 16 years ago. Very happy to be on my own and be my own person, didn't feel the need for a man in my life whatsoever.

Then B came along and -- BAM -- changed all that!
    February 2012 -- met online
August 2012 -- he said "I love you."
April 2013 -- met in person
    June 2013 -- broke up
    July 2013 -- back together
    August 2013 -- 2nd visit
    October 20, 2013 -- He proposed!
    April 22, 2014 -- Married/closed the distance!

Hi Ramir -- I used to live in Long Beach!

When we love, it isn't because the person's perfect, it's because we learn to see an imperfect person perfectly.

True love does not worry about the distance between, for the heart and soul travels through one's words

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance is too far, and no one can ever tear them apart.

1 universe, 9 planets, 7 continents, 194 countries, 50 states and 10 provinces...and I had the privilege to meet you.

My last relationship was ended in 1992. I certainly didn't expect to meet someone on the internet, from a different country, and fall head over heels like a love-sick teenager, not at my age! I was content with my life, and about decided to be alone the rest of my life. This changed everything, turned my life upside down, and Down Under!

I'm not as old as some of you, but I'm definitely older than most people on this forum. Don't you think that our age and hurts help us to appreciate what is more important? I would have never dreamt that love would finally find me. I had given up on love and planned on growing old alone. The love that my SO and I share seems deeper, calmer, and stronger, like a deep river. In my younger years, I wouldn't have known what a treasure I have with my SO; now I see how blessed I am with my SO.
