A challenge for you with your SO ;)

Ok it's just a bit of fun, inspired by someone who mentioned quoting lyrics from Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley (please show yourself, I can't remember who it was )

The game is to quote lyrics from a song that both you AND your SO knows, and knows fairly well. That helps. The idea is to say the lyrics continuously (without adding or taking away any words) and go for as long as possible into the song before they notice

You can start anywhere in the song in case the beginning is too obvious. I've done this a few times with Tanja, usually with Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol:

Me: Babe?
Tanja: Yeah?
Me: If I lay here...
Tanja: What?
Me: If I just lay here...
Tanja: Lay where?
Me: Would you lie with me and just forget the world?

Ok she probably got it sooner than that

If you've done this already I wanna hear!

It can be any song, it doesn't matter if no-one here knows it, as long as you and your SO know it.

And once you do it, post your results!

Btw, you can do it over IM or on the phone, or even face-to-face! But you'll have to make sure you keep a straight face for that one

Bonus points if you can do it during a serious conversation! No I'm joking, don't do that... it could cause all sorts of trouble

Aw, I'd LOVE to try this.. problem is that me and my SO speak Danish (well, d'uh.. makes sense since we're both from Denmark)

I sing at Kevin like this a lot, it's quite funny because he always looks at me like i'm demented. I like doing random songs that he knows though, I think the most recent was Serpentine by Disturbed and it was something like this

Me: I was caught up in the moment...

Me: We were alone and you seemed to harness the light!
Him: What are you talking about?!
Me: Even though I felt cold inside, when you told me it would be alight..
Him: Baby stop singing at me, you confuse me.
Me: (I always have to finish, though now its rushed and rather quick and jumbled) I'd given up control and I didn't focus hard enough to see the warning signs, your heart is serpentine.

Me: YES!
