Any books with the characters in a LDR?

I have a book report I have to do for school and I thought it would be neat to read a book with the characters in the same situation as me.
the book has to be by an american author( i am in us lit.)
and it must be 200 pages or more.

Wasn't there a recent film called Dear John? No doubt based on that novel...

I don't suppose Going the Distance was based on a novel?

Are there any other LDR related films that were based on novels? Might be worth looking into...

Yeah the film "Dear John" wasn't out too long ago, I never actually got to see it, and was based on the book. The same guy who wrote "Dear John", actually wrote "A Walk To Remember" aswell.

Hmmm. I don't know if "Going The Distance" is based on a novel, I'd love to read the book if it did exist.

No we didn't because Jyväskylä is rubbish and it was only shown in Helsinki for Christ sake. Not only that but they didn't even show Toy Story 3 in English there, only the dub... yet again the English one was only shown in Helsinki. I mean come on :/

Oh well, it's not like I desperately wanted to see it since the day it was announced or anything...
