New LFAD vs The Old LFAD

We had like a 300 member head start with the new forum. Those that transferred over were the most active members, they were like the "cream of the crop" back then And the best people to get the new forum going. I don't know whatever happened to those other 2000 or so people, haha.

The old forum of course started with people slowly trickling in. So that is a HUGE part of the reason why the numbers are the way they are. The other part is of course because of increased traffic over time.

I always compare our member count and threads count whenever I come across another forum, and we still seem so itty bitty! :P Another vbulletin forum that was about love and relationships in general had 45,000+ members! Hopefully there will be a day we can celebrate that number

We may be a relatively small community but I think that helps us keep more tight knit. I really feel like I am getting to know the most active people on here and truly making friends.
I sometimes see on other forums that some people will make mean or hateful comments and maybe people do that because they feel anonymous. I really appreciate LFAD

It feels like I know a lot of people on here and I have real friends I can talk to and they know my background. They are happy when I'm happy and they comfort me when I'm sad. It's the best feeling knowing that I'm never alone.

I just love it. Michelle and Frank, you couldn't have done any better! And I'm sure that in time there will be thousands and thousands of more people becoming a part of our LFAD family

45,000+ members seems scary to me... even now, i'm starting to get more shy with the expansion of the community (and the little time i can allow myself to spend here, getting to know everyone )

even though i'm not as active as i'd like to be, everyone here at LFAD has a special place in my everyday life
