    Christmas present ideas?

Okay, y'all, I need some help in this area.

I've asked him what he wanted and he said he didn't want anything, just me. While a cute answer, it is no help. ^^; I've thought about making him something like a shirt or a matching pillowcase. He's an artist and he games a lot, he's extremely creative, but I really just need some help deciding what to give him. I keep drawing blanks.

    Thanks, in advance~!

Would it be possible for you to maybe design a pillowcase yourself? Either by picking out some cool fabric and making one for him or by painting or DIY screen printing?

If you look for it, I've got a sneaking suspicion...love actually is all around

well i dunno if it's gonna help :P but i can tell u what i'm gonna give to my SO for xmas!

he likes music!, and he also makes some mixes and stuff haha, so i thought about a cool idea , i'm gonna record a cd for him! ... i know i'm not a singer but i'm gonna pick a good song i like about LDR of love and i'm gonna sing . the good thing is that i have a friend that has a little home record studio so he's gonna help me so it sounds a little professional, but you can also do it by searching for a karaoke version of the song and then with your microphone you can record your voice and that's it i'm gonna do also the artwork of the cd so it look like a cd u can find at a store

i hope u like my idea!, also the pillowcase idea is good!! i'm gonna give that to him on Valentine's day!

      good luck!!

With the upcoming move I really don't have the money to go all out this year so I decided to make him a picture that I am getting printed in a poster size and framed... I have it under my albums. You could make him a picture or frame a pic of the 2 of you together... Or if you do the pillowcase thing maybe you can embroider it with your names and the date you started seeing each other. Then maybe you can keep adding the dates of your visits then finish with the date when you close the distance and then have it framed.

Some fab ideas here!!! How about a scrapbook of photos and momentos like ticket stubs and receipts etc.. Or you could make a collage of photos of the two of you and frame it for him?

A pillow is a great idea! That's what I made for my SO last year I got the fabric and everything! It was all sorts of soft and stuff...so soft that I wasn't able to write anything on it xD I even had enough material left over to make him a blanket

Basically anything cute and cozy. That's what Christmas is all about, right?
Me: I hope that pizza gets here soon. My stomach is growling.
              Growling at you.
              Grrr.

              Muffin: *pokes stomach* ^=^

              Me: *stomach growls*
I don't think it likes you very much.

              Muffin: *pokes stomach* Hehe

Me: You're provoking it as it growls more. I think it'll like you more if you give it pizza.

I think any non-Jewish or non-Muslim man would appreciate Tactical Canned Bacon. It's delicious and will make him lol. No idea what to make him :P. Most guys are simple and don't need anything extravagant.

guys love their toys.....Just saying. Also, I don't know if you have have any way of contacting a friend or relative of him and asking them possibly if there's anything he's been wanting, or has mentioned and what not.

I would definitely go for something that would remind him of you and which he could use often if not every day. The pillowcase is a nice idea in that aspect
also, you could give a gift that reminds him of something you've done together.- or something you WANNA do. Perhaps, if you have some sort of private joke going on (I bet you have :P), just give him something that refers to the joke

oh, and tactical bacon...? Why oh WHY weren't we issued a few cans of that when I did MY military service?!

Awesome. Thanks to everyone. I think I'm going with the pillow case ideas. I bought some fabric paints and will likely buy two white pillow cases. Unfortunately, I don't know how to embroider ^^; though I may find instructions or soemthing on how to because I have some good thread for it.

www.thinkgeek.com is a GREAT website, especially if you or your SO is a bit on the "nerdier" side of things, like myself. I've gotten myself and my SO tons of stuff from there

Also, does your SO live somewhere where it gets cold during christmas? If so, maybe you could knit or crochet him a blanket or scarf? If he's crazy about a sports team you could use their colors, or maybe just use his school colors, but I'm sure he'd appreciate something that 1. You made for him 2. can remind you of him when he uses it and 3. Keeps him warm during the winter

Another suggestion is to try the "LDR gift ideas" page on this website, there's a lot of great things! For my SO's birthday I got him the giant fortune cookie!
