    oconus brats ] a fairytale.

    once upon a time:
there was a spoiled princess who lived in the kingdom of niceville.
she was sheltered, nerdy, but loud.
she met a prince with long hair,
    who scared her.
    but when winter came,
the prince had cut his hair,
and proved to be a handsome man.
too young for the royal dance, they both volunteered to help instead,
and bonded over geeky jokes and small secrets.

they began to fall in love, and the world was perfect.

until after a short month, the princess was reminded that she was leaving
to a golden land called california.
the evil "forces of the air" came and took her away,
while the prince was trapped in niceville.
they only saw each other 15 days of the year they were apart,
before once again, the force of air stole the girl away,
even further than before to the cold, northern country of norway.

but before she was forced away, the princess received a gift from her prince,
a magical ring, a claddagh ring.
it gives her hope, protection, reminds her of their love and promise of fidelity.
and for now, the lovers wait until the day they can be reunited,
together, happy and content at last.

    --------------

    a fairytale of our story.
both of us are air force brats, split by my family's pcs.
this story is stupid. i wish it wasn't true,
but unfortunately is just a childish retelling of the past 19 months.

Aww I like the way you told your story. It's a shame about your circumstances though, with your family having to move around alot. That must be pretty tough on you.
          Welcome to LFAD =)
