Driving on the interstate is completely different than driving on regular roads. If you have only driven on the interstate for five minutes before, I really think it would be best for you to wait. Maybe you could get your parents or a friend to sit in the car with you while you practice driving on it. Seriously, the first time I had a truck surrounding me on the left I started to veer off the road and my dad had to yell at me to stop, and if he hadn't I would have wrecked. Driving on the interstate can be very stressful, especially during traffic (and there could be traffic on Christmas fyi). It is even worse when you have huge trucks speeding past you on either side. I know from your previous posts that you have anxiety, and I am warning you that driving on the interstate for five minutes is completely different than driving on it for two hours.

Not only that, I would be hesitant to travel on Christmas because there are a lot more wrecks on holidays caused from drunk driving. Also, would you be driving home at night, because that is also way different than driving in the daytime (not sure if you have driven in the dark a lot though).

I am not saying that you would not be able to do the drive, but it just sounds a bit risky....But hey, I am just saying this from my own experience because I know I would not have been prepared after only driving on it for five minutes. You know whether or not you are a good driver.

Thank you bluestars. I probably won't be going to Cleveland on xmas. I may just go to the movies with a friend. My anxiety is actually making me want to go to cleveland because of my sister and all. She will be coming on xmas eve maybe and I never got along with her. I always feel real anxious around her. Xmas time even makes that worse because I hate opening gifts...idk.

So John called me on his break at work and he told me that he will come on Xmas, but it will be on his terms. He has to leave the day after. He will come back on the 31st too...I just feel guilty but idk why...

Do you think that he is coming because he wants to or because he feels pressure from you? That could explain the guiltiness if it is the second.

But I just wanted to add that I think it would be really good for your relationship if you drove to see him later on since he is usually the one to come see you.

On the 31st he is gonna take me on the freeway so I get experience and then I can come visit him from time to time. I do think it is because of the second. But, I told him not to come and he said no he is coming. So, we are gonna talk more about it.
