    LDR Care Package?

Was not sure where to post this. So I thought I would post it here (feel free to move it)

Anyway, my wife has a younger brother (18) who is graduating from High School this year, and he seems to be in a fairly committed relationship. However there is a potential snag on the horizon.

She plans on attending a collage in Dallas TX, He plans on attending a collage in Tulsa OK. So they will be entering a LDR....(254 miles)

So for this, me and my wife are putting together a 'care package' for them so they can stay in touch while they are apart.

So far we have a pair of webcams and headsets/skype for them. We wish we could get at least my brother-in-law a laptop as well, but that is out of the question.

So is there anything else people would suggest to put in a package for a couple that will be starting a LDR in just a few months?
Love is the only thing that can cross all boundaries and cannot be stopped. It crosses countries, continents, oceans and even the stars themselves. It makes peace in the middle of war, and stops hatred in it's tracks. -Anon

Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. - Apostle Paul in his first letter to the Church at Corinth (1 Corinthians 13:3-5)

How about phone cards, helping parents upgrade their phones to unlimited text if they don't have it, or maybe some of our nifty LDR swag we have on the site?

That is really sweet of you guys to make a package for them! How about a book of stamps, and stationary set for each of them? Snail mail is always wonderful to receive in an LDR.

A journal for each of them. They could exchange each visit, and read all the little things people just don't seem to tell each other when they aren't literally face to face...if that makes sense. It's the tiny details that make me feel more a part of someone's life...

I agree with stamps, stationary and LFAD swag (the workbook package might be a great idea since they're going from CD to LD). You could also give them some flat rate boxes from USPS. Great idea, good luck!

Ooh the love letter satchel for sure, great idea 5000miles!! The satchel's Rane and I got were two of our most prized items from our LDR, and still very important to us after the distance closed.

calling cards are a good idea, also put together some picture frames with pictures of them. That's one thing that I did for both me and my boyfriend when he left.
