    weight loss?

any other LDR ppl out there trying to lose weight before they see thier SO?

what are you doing to get to that goal?

personally I'm joining a gym and going three times a week. I have 5 months before we close the distance and i finally see him again I'd like to be down at least a few sizes by then. Feel a little more confidant. Not to mention I'm heading back to my home town to see him and he's flying back out with me so i wanna look amazing when i see everyone i knew from high school lol!

I've been working on losing weight off and on for the past year. It's going slowly, but I'm happy that I've been able to maintain the progress I've made, so it's ok with me that it was slow up to now. I'd like to lose 5-8 more pounds before I see my SO. But my major priority right now is to lose body fat- not necessarily pounds.

I'm working with a trainer for strength training twice a week for the next 6 weeks, and I hope to incorporate cardio (running or elliptical) and yoga as well. My SO's coming back mid-March, so I have a couple more months to go!

I've been on a diet of sorts and I walk at least 2 hours every day whether it's outside or inside like at the mall. I even bought those silly shoes that supposedly tone your butt and legs. I'm also working on clearing up some minor skin issues I've had for a while which is going well. I've lost roughly 60lbs in the past year and I'm hoping to lose another 60 this year.

My mom joined WeightWatchers when I was 16 (I'm 20 now). I kind of just followed what she was doing. I ate the WeightWatchers pizzas and things like that. We power walked around the neighborhood for 30-45 minutes every day. By doing all of that and just watching what I ate, I went from 180 lbs to 150 lbs. I lost 30 pounds in roughly half a year. I was so proud of myself but my lack of self-esteem as a high school student drove me nuts.

I eat about 1,200 calories a day (which is what everyone SHOULD have per day, so it is the minimum). Don't think I'm crazy. I'm not a calorie counter. I don't stare the boxes and drive myself mad about what I am eating. I do have splurging days where I'll go out and eat french fries, pizza, whatever. I just don't do it often but I don't feel guilty. I go to the gym and power-walk/jog on the treadmill for 30 minutes for 3 days of the week and I do pilates 3 days (alternating). I eat oatmeals and other things with fiber because fiber fills you up and keeps you full. Always eat breakfast because it is what gets your metabolism going! Drink a tall glass of water before meals. Water definitely is always an A+ for health and can be a filler. But don't replace food for water. As long as you stay active and eat fruits, veggies, nuts, etc, then you should have no trouble at all shedding some pounds I've stayed on my diet since I was 16 and I currently weight 145 lbs. Also, with being 20, I've learned to love myself more than I ever did when I was younger.

Your SO loves you for who you are and he'll love you no matter what, but there is nothing wrong with wanting to make yourself feel better and doing it for yourself

I worked a labour job in the summer and was going to the gym in the summer before my boyfriend came to see me so I was in pretty good shape when he came to see me. However after traveling and returning back to work when I would get home I wanted to spend time with him instead of hop on the exercise bike. He has gone back home now and from all those nights out and dinners I can def notice i've put on a few pounds. Im working on getting it off before I see him again, and for myself.

Short answer: Yes, I am going to the gym 5 days a week and working out for half an hour on the tread mill and one or two days a week I do strength training. I also use an application and/or website called myfitnesspal.com to track my calories and exercise

I feel very lucky that my SO has seen me at all different weights from a size 12 to a size 20 and he still finds me sexy. We both had a very difficult last 3 years as we were not able to be together with work and deaths and illness in our families. So I had gone back up to a size 20 and then things smoothed out back in september and was able to start back at the gym. I still have about 30 pounds to get back to my size 12 but I am aiming for another 30 after that.. so we will see. I just keep on going to the gym and trying to watch what I eat. This last week since my SO's departure I have done a crap job.. but I know it will smooth out again soon and i will be back on track.

I'm not necessarily trying to lose weight, I've maybe got an extra 5-10 pound on my body that I wouldn't shedding but I'm not desperate to lose them. That said, I am trying to get more in shape because I feel like I'm so unhealthly right now. So I dance one day a week, I'm doing aquasize with some friends one day a week, I'm going to swim at school 1-2 days a week, and my mom bought some silly exercise videos that I'm going to try one day a week. I like to keep my exercises varied so I don't get bored with them, but I have to do stuff that's cheap so it's an interesting balance.

As for food, I fail at dieting. I've tried a few times, and as soon as I try to restrict myself from anything I HAVE TO HAVE THAT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE I'LL DIE IF I DON'T! So I just try to be mindful about what I'm eating, try to make healthy choices and do enough exercise to make up for my love of french fries.

                  Yes I'm !
I'm currently 78 kg, and my goal is to reach 70 in april... well I don't really care about the number, but I have a little bit of "jam" around my abdos that I want to lose
What I'm doing, only water, and not eating between meals. With that a little bit of musculation on my own, and it will be fine, I've done it before.

I recently lost almost 30 lbs and the way I did that was by eating less. I kept up my daily exercise, and stopped eating so much. I'd maybe like to lose 5-10 more lbs, but I think I might just be obsessing over it now...

More than anything I want my SO to lose weight! He just told me he's gained 10 more pounds! Uh-uh! Not okay in my book Not for vanity reasons, but for health reasons. As soon as he moves in with me he's going on the sunflower seed and rice cake diet... cuz that's all the food I ever have in my apartment haha

Eat less, eat healthier (more pork chicken and fish) and more exercise has been it for me. I lost 54 lbs last year and I'd like to lose another 54 this year. I go to the gym 4-5 days a wk, usually for 30-45 minutes of elliptical or treadmill. Now that I have a big chunk of fat off me, I can start some weight training to tone things up.

My goal is sort of weightloss, but more importantly for me is to focus on healthy habits - I've done a really good job working on that this past year, and I dropped a lot of weight. I have a generalized weightloss goal to reach (as you can see from my signature), but if I hit my proper percent body fat and the proper pants size, then I'm happy. I try not to obsess over my weight because I used to be aneorexic, and I start focusing too much on the numbers.

I want to be emotionally and physically happy. good good, good working out so my body stays fit and doesn't hurt or act old before it's time - I'm happy with that.

I lost 5 pounds when I was with my SO. I didn't eat as much as I do when I'm at home. I'm so happy!
But I'm planning on moving closer to my SO and I want to lose some more weight so I look nice for him and for University as well.

I'm kind of trying to lose weight before I see my SO. And partially because when I was at the doctor in March of 2010, I was told I had high blood pressure. O_O I was prescribed some pills, but I hate taking meds, so my SO suggested I try eating healthier and exercising, which is what I've been doing for the last year. I was at 180-ish back then and now I'm down to 164-ish. I've cut out like all microwaveable meals and I walk a lot. I've also been listening to a weight loss subliminal. (Don't laugh...my SO and I believe subliminal messaging works!) I also cut down on portion sizes.

I just bought some lingerie though, so maybe I should stop losing weight for a while, lol.

I am in the process of losing weight and getting healthy for when my SO arrives back in March.

I used to be a really slim person, then I kinda got comfortable with my SO and was happy eating (as I call it) :-)

But then it got to the point were I wasnt happy when I looked in the mirror, I felt less attractive. So for myself but also Im sure my SO wouldnt mind, I have been losing weight since he left.

I have lost 8 pounds so far. And have another 8 to go in like 6 weeks.

Im eating what ever I like but in moderation. I do water aerobics once a week for an hour and swimming twice a week, an hour each. I really enjoy it too, it gives me something to do and a goal to aim for.
