LDR with someone in the army?

Hi,
i was just wondering if anyone else was in the same situation as me;
Im from London, my SO lives in Texas & is in the army. We met randomly via FaceBook when i was trying to help a friend with a situation.
We've talked about closing the distance & even his mom/mum is helping us find out the best way to do it.
Is anyone else miles away from their SO whos in the army?
Does anyone know any good sites for people that are?

yea both myself and my SO are in the military and def not in the same place and he's deploying..its hard .
