Yes, there's a point to this. The title is simply to draw people. It also happens to be an ongoing joke we have, which brings us to the point of this thread. What's your favorite ongoing joke with your significant other? I've just been noticing that things in the world have been sucking lately so I thought that I would contribute to this thread by posting something that tends to make us happy. I know random ongoing jokes with my boyfriend makes me happy :'D.

We have several, one being "infidelity". It all started when the relationship did. He would call or text me while he was in the bathroom D:<! Well, I really don't like poop. After several years of lactose intolerance, you wouldn't either XP. Anyway, one day I just told him "God! Just tell me you're cheating on me! I can accept that!" So after reminding him a few times, he started doing it. So now he constantly calls to tell me he's cheating on me. I act all disgusted, and due to this timing my usual response is "Oh God! I just ate!" We have had similar conversations about his "cheating" in public. People thing we're crazy, but we don't care. It's our way of showing our love :'D.

So, what random ongoing or inside jokes do any of you have to share?

For my boyfriend and I, it's his "lizard."

It started the night we met. We both shy teenagers who had NEVER had a SO before. We were just trying to find things to talk about. He told me about his five siblings and two bearded dragons he owned. Trying to instigate that I wanted to see him in the future, maybe hang out sometime, I said, "Maybe I could hold your lizard sometime."

Neither of us got the joke at the time but when I told my mom she started choking on her drink and asked me exactly what I wanted to hold. I was so embarrassed I began apologizing for it the next time I saw him. But he just started laughing and said it never even occurred to him but that it was actually pretty funny that my mom would think of something so dirty.

Now, whenever we talk about lizards we can't help but snicker. Everyone looks at us like we're crazy but Eli and I just smile on the inside. <3

Hahaha, good thread idea! We do actually have one of these jokes. It started on one of the first nights we met, and we were just hanging around talking about different celebrities that we liked/didn't like, and I think I was talking about Drew Barrymore when I said something like "if I was a girl, I would totally do her"... although I meant to say *guy*, not girl, since I'm already a girl. And now he always makes fun of me whenever I say something about somebody being attractive and he's like "yeah, if you were a girl...?"

It's funny how these start when you first start dating!

(your actual girlfriend)" And he's like "Nope not yet..." and I'm like "Dang...what'll she do when she finds out?" Its kinda funny and makes the both of us smile over Skype xD

But he once said "Wait'll she finds out that you and every other girl I'm cheating on are all the SAME girl!" XD It made me laugh

Most ongoing jokes we have involve either a magical portal to Canada (we've yet to decide whether it's in the freezer, my closet, or under my bed, but we know it does come out through his closet) or me shipping myself to Canada. Though we figure customs wouldn't be very happy about that second one. ^^; Other than that his spelling is a source of humor ('lvoe' instead of 'love', 'desr' instead of 'dear') and... yeah. That's pretty much it. ^^; I just have no funny stories behind them. >.>

I don't think we have any ongoing inside jokes yet...at least none I can think of at the moment...I could be wrong. After all my memory is terrible. But I like this thread. Very cute. I'll let you know if we end up having any ongoing inside jokes after my visit.

LOL you got me! We have a few; I gave him my birthday girl badge on my bday last year, so he's been my pretty girl since then. Another is that he calls me a slug because I used to be nicknamed snake as a kid (didn't bother crawling and slithered instead).

so we also have the kind of joke where other woman are involved, but that's just because there was a lot of girls claiming he'd be THEIR perfect husband.
so i pretend to be the one they're not supposed to find out about 'oooh, what if she finds out?'

also, during our last visit. we gave middle finger a new meaning - basically means i love you. i cant remember how we got it, but its fun to watch other people and their surprised faces, when we walk pass each other showing middle fingers.

XD We have *huggleswoon*, since I'm from the South and I said something about him swooning me once, i.e. being so sweet and cuddly it makes you pass out or get breathless. So one night he was like, "*huggle... swoon?* is that how you spell it?" He's an awful speller, so I said yes, of course. And then he had to define exactly what a huggleswoon was, so apparently it's sweeping me literally off my feet, pulling me close, kissing me softly, and holding me in his arms safe and warm until the morning. For a while afterwards I would make him type it all out again (he's also a slowww typer, I'm merciless XD) but now I'm just content with him *huggleswooning* me and saying he doesn't do it nearly enough. Can't wait for him to be able to do it in person.

We have some others too, haha, like him being my sexy secret ninja lover and him always eating on mic/cam for some weird reason. XD
