    Southwest Airlines Contest! LUV sick and long distance? Win Valentine's Day Trip!

    Southwest Airlines Cargo is flying 10 winners across the map to surprise their loved one on Valentine's Day!

    Are you LUV Sick & miles away from a loved one or a family member? In 100 words or less, we want to hear your LUV story. If you can't be with your loved one this Valentine's Day, share what it would mean to surprise him/her with flowers (shipped on Cargo's award-winning same day service). If you already have a Cargo account and ship tons of presents to your loved one, tell us why you deserve to fly across the U.S. to surprise someone in person.

    We'll fly 10 winners across the map to surprise their loved one on Valentine's Day. And on top of that, each winner will receive a $75 TelefloraŽ gift certificate to help celebrate an upcoming special day. Submit your story to Write.Southwest@wnco.com with "LUV Sick and Long Distance?" in the subject line, before February 10th, 2011 at 9:00am Central Time.         The thing I like best about this contest is that the stories will actually be judged for content.

        You have 100 words to explain why you deserve the prize, and then winners will be chosen on the following criteria:
        The judges will be judging on the following qualities:
        • Creativity and Originality: 20%
        • Entertaining: 25%
        • Southwest Appeal: 35% story should reflect our Culture and Fun-LUVing
        Attitude.
        • Appropriateness to Subject Matter of Shipping Cargo: 20%

        The ticket vouchers are good for up to one year, so don't be hesitant to enter just because you can't fly to see your SO on Valentine's day

          I think Southwest should just come to this site and pick someone....we're the unsung heroes of LDRs!

            Thank you for posting this contest, because you can also do it for family members I think i'm going to do it hopefully to win to see my grandpa.

                I've submitted my entry! It won't get me all the way to where The Boy lives, since Southwest doesn't go there. But it'll get me to our usual vacation destination halfway between.
